This site is dedicated to the memory of David Edward Strawbridge.

The greatest gift that can be bestowed upon anyone in life is the joy of giving to others. That was David, loving husband, devoted father, who died aged 60 on the 31st October 2010. On the 7th August 2011 we fulfilled David's last wishes and took him on one final trip to Bridlington to scatter his ashes out at sea off the Pirate Ship. Its what David wanted and we know he was there with us. David, Until the sun turns to rain, Until the rain turns to sun, While the stars in the sky ever sparkle While the flowers in the garden ever bloom Until eternity - we shall love you Your most admiring wife Wendy, daughter Michelle & son-in-law Ritchard We wouldn't have missed you for the world, and when we're looking for you we know you're down by the sea somewhere under the sun. One day we will see you again.

Miss you dad, four years today was the last time I saw you and you gave me a hug, four years tomorrow since you've been gone but it seems like only yesterday Two candles dad, one from Ryan and one from Jack, your two grandsons you never did meet You would be proud of both of them and of mum, they have become her lifeline, she is devoted to them and in everything she does she does what she knows you'd have done had you been here Dad, until eternity we will love you Michelle xxx

Today would have been our 42nd Wedding Anniversary and not a day goes by I don't think of you. In the 23 months since you've been gone so much has happened, Michelle has got married to Ritch and they've had a wonderful little boy called Ryan Ashley David. He was a gift from you Fathers Day Weekend, arriving on the Saturday ... you always did like sharing gifts the night before birthdays and christmas etc. And then Ryan was christened on what better day but your birthday ...

Today David we light a candle not just for you but jake. Jake was your beloved grandson, albeit a dobermann. You loved him and he loved you, always being a gentle giant around you, just like on the photo we've uploaded to your gallery. Last Tuesday, 2 years since our last trip to Bridlington as a family, Jake took the daunting journey over rainbow bridge. Michelle & Ritch are heartbroken but they know he is not alone because you were waiting for him and now you're together again ...
