Dad,
I'm holding back the tears today
remembering anew
those wonderful and precious years
spent happily with you
And I can't think of anything
I wouldn't give, to see
that loveable, familiar face
that meant so much to me
Just to spend a day with you
and laugh with you again
for since you've been gone, Dad
life's never been the same.
You'd have enjoyed the pirate ship Dad, it was rough and we stood at the helm just as you liked to. I know you were with me even though I couldn't see you. x
